Event description

AgWomen Global was launched in 2017, with the vision of profiling 365 women, who’ve all made an impact in the primary industries, no matter their level of contribution. The project was launched on the premise that no longer the theory of ‘tall poppy syndrome’ was a negative one, rather it created an opportunity to celebrate success and share the stories of those women who help to shape our industry globally.

The AgWomen stories have been sourced from all around the world; UK, Europe, Thailand, USA, Chile, Argentina, Australia and of course New Zealand. The project is 100% volunteer run, with many hours spent over the past two years collecting, writing and publishing these amazing stories.

In March 2018, the AgWomen Global team will publish their first coffee-table style book, featuring all 365 stories. This is a major milestone for the team and are excited to be launching it during NZ Agrifood Week.

With strong industry support, this has been made possible. For that they extend a massive thanks to their crowd.
